{ Screenprinted }
Monuments to My Memory asks, “What is left behind when you visit a place where others once were?” As I explore the concepts of balance and fluctuation as life moves through time and space, and how we try to capture those experiences, I focus on nature environments. It’s important to preserve our past and our future by observing the fragile landscapes we visit. In this project the repetition in drawing my sketches, and act of hand screenprinting these patterns of life, serve as floating fabrics, webs, or imagined constellations over my photographs and these images become documents of the in-between.
